Report: Livingston agrees to join Warriors

Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors reportedly reached an agreement with free-agent guard Shaun Livingston on Tuesday night.

The contract will reportedly be worth $16 million over three years, according to the Oakland Tribune. Livingston, 28, averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists over 76 games -- 54 starts -- for the Brooklyn Nets last season.

Livingston, who was the fourth overall selection of the 2004 NBA Draft, suffered a serious left knee injury in 2007, finally coming into his own with Brooklyn.

Golden State had trouble finding a suitable replacement for Jarrett Jack as the back-up point guard this past season behind Stephen Curry. The team traded Toney Douglas for Jordan Crawford during the year and later acquired Steve Blake.

The deal for Livingston cannot officially be announced until July 10 when the league's moratorium on free agent signings are lifted.
