The Dallas Cowboys suffered a serious injury blow on Tuesday after backup quarterback Kellen Moore suffered a broken fibula during training camp.

David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports that Moore is headed back to Dallas today and will have surgery that will put him out of action for 3-4 months.

The injury moves rookie Dak Prescot up a spot in the roster depth, but the team is expected to look at options in adding another quarterback to the roster.

The free-agent list is not very deep at the moment, with Nick Foles currently at the top of a list that includes Matt Flynn, T.J. Yates, Charlie Whitehurst and Michael Vick.
