Redskins safety Ihenacho and right tackle Polumbus injured against Eagles

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

The Washington Redskins have lost two players in the first half of their game at Philadelphia: safety Duke Ihenacho and right tackle Tyler Polumbus.

Ihenacho went out in the opening quarter Sunday with a foot injury, and Polumbus was sidelined late in the half with a right knee problem. Polumbus was expected to return.

Earlier, both teams' top running backs were temporarily sidelined. The Redskins' Alfred Morris left for a short time to have a knee examined, but returned.

The Eagles' LeSean McCoy, a 2013 All-Pro, was examined for a head injury under the NFL's concussion protocol after a helmet hit, but also returned. McCoy stayed on the ground for several moments after being hit, but then jogged to the sideline before heading to the locker room to be tested.
