The NFL has suspended Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis and offensive tackle Trent Williams four games apiece for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
The league announced its decision Tuesday, suspending Davis and Williams without pay.
They will be eligible to return to the Redskins' active roster on Monday, January 2, following the team's regular-season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Davis caught 59 passes for 796 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games this season. Williams started 10 games at left tackle.
