Reds swipe 5 bases in an inning off Rockies' De La Rosa

CINCINNATI (AP) The Reds stole five bases during their biggest inning on the bases in roughly a century.

They took advantage of Jorge De La Rosa's slow move to the plate during the second inning on Tuesday night, when they sent nine batters to the plate and scored four times off the Rockies left-hander. Four different players stole a base, with Jay Bruce taking two. The Reds also pulled off a double steal. Tyler Holt, Billy Hamilton and Eugenio Suarez had steals during the inning.

The Reds hadn't stolen so many bases during an inning since at least the 1920s, per information provided by the teams from the Elias Sports Bureau. It was the most steals that the Rockies had ever allowed in an inning.
