Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Reds placed starting pitcher Tony Cingrani on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with left shoulder tendinitis.

The 24-year-old southpaw is 2-2 with a 3.34 ERA and 32 strikeouts over 32 1/3 innings through six starts this season. Over his brief three-year career in the majors, all with Cincinnati, Cingrani is 9-6 with a 2.98 ERA and 161 punchouts over 142 frames.

Cingrani also dealt with shoulder soreness last May, but didn't need to take a trip to the DL.

In addition, the Reds recalled pitcher Curtis Patch from Triple-A Louisville.
