Reds avoid arbitration with LeCure

Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Reds and pitcher Sam LeCure have avoided salary arbitration and agreed to a two-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

LeCure appeared in 63 games out of the bullpen last season and posted a record of 2-1 with a 2.66 ERA and one save. The 29-year-old right-hander owns a career mark of 9-10 with a 3.47 ERA in 169 games, all but 10 as a reliever, since making his debut with the Reds in 2010.

The Reds also agreed to terms with pitcher Alfredo Simon on a one-year contract. The right-hander went 6-4 with a 2.87 ERA and one save in 63 games last season.
