It has rained on the New York Jets' parade.
The Monday night Kickoff of the team's first regular-season game against Baltimore inside the new Meadowlands Stadium was delayed 25 minutes to 7:25 p.m. because of a lightning storm.
Fans were instructed to leave the stands when the skies opened at roughly 5:45 pm ET. Players returned to the field about an hour later to warm up.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area until 8 p.m. ET.
