For the second time in two days, a final French Open tuneup was plagued by rain, as some more first-round play at the Nice Open was washed out because of inclement weather.

No less than nine matches were pushed into Tuesday, when all 12 opening-round affairs are now on the schedule at Nice Lawn Tennis Club. Fifth-seeded Aussie Bernard Tomic, sixth-seeded Dutchman Robin Haase, former top-five Russian Nikolay Davydenko and American Sam Querrey are among those slated for action on Tuesday.

Spaniard Nicolas Almagro beat Romanian Victor Hanescu in last year's Nice finale. Almagro is seeded third this year, behind American John Isner and Frenchman Gilles Simon. The top-four seeds, including France's Gael Monfils, enjoyed byes into the second round.

The 2012 Nice titlist will claim $91,000.
