Raiders sign LB Chaney

Alameda, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Raiders have signed linebacker Jamar Chaney and placed linebacker Nick Roach on season-ending injured reserve.

Originally a seventh-round selection by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2010, Chaney has played in 49 career games with the Eagles and Falcons. He has recorded 158 tackles, one sack, three interceptions and one forced fumble.

Roach hasn't played all season due to a concussion. The Northwestern product had 112 tackles, 5 1/2 sacks and one interception in 16 starts last season, his first with the Raiders.
