Raiders CB DJ Hayden to start camp on PUP after foot surgery for stress fracture

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Oakland Raiders cornerback DJ Hayden will open training camp on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing surgery for a stress fracture in his right foot.

Hayden originally rolled his ankle in late May. An MRI at the time showed no complications but one taken later at the end of minicamp in June showed the stress fracture. Coach Dennis Allen says he could miss up to the first four weeks of camp.

Tight end Nick Kasa (hip flexor), guard Lucas Nix (knee), safety Usama Young (quadriceps) and cornerback Keith McGill (ankle) also will open camp on the PUP list. Defensive linemen C.J. Wilson (hamstring) and Stacy McGee (thumb) got hurt since minicamp and will be on the non-football injury list.
