Deontay Twyman scored 17 points and Quinnipiac led from wire to wire in a 66-56 victory over slumping Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday.

The Bobcats (11-3, 3-1 Northeast Conference) won their second in a row and their seventh in the last eight, aided by Dave Johnson's 14 points and Jamee Jackson's 12.

The Knights (3-10, 2-2) lost their seventh straight, securing only the consolation of outrebounding the nation's top rebounding team 39-35. Quinnipiac came into the game No. 1 in both rebounding average (44.5) and in offensive rebounds per game (17.9), but Kamil Svrdlik led Fairleigh Dickinson with 11 rebounds.

Terence Grier led the Knights with 20 points and was their only player to make at least half his shots. He made 9 of 14 from the field, but the rest of the Knights combined to go 10 of 38.

The Bobcats turned the ball over only five times, compared to the Knights' 18.
