QB Dobbs leads Vols in passing, rushing, receiving in loss at Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs made history in a loss at Florida, becoming the first player since 2003 to lead his team in passing, rushing and receiving.

According to STATS, LLC, the last player to accomplish the feat was Tulsa's James Kilian on Oct. 4, 2003 against Hawaii. Kilian had 106 yards passing, 115 yards rushing and 35 yards receiving.

STATS' research only dates to 1996, so it's unclear how many players did it before that.

Regardless, it's certainly a rare accomplishment considering only two players have done it in 20 years.

Dobbs ran 18 times for 135 yards, completed 10 of 17 passes for 83 yards and had a 58-yard reception on a trick play. Despite his all-around effort, the Volunteers (2-2, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) lost to the Gators for the 11th consecutive time, 28-27.
