St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly made a lineup change for Game 4 of the National League Division Series against St. Louis, benching the struggling Yasiel Puig.

The move didn't help, though, as the Dodgers lost the game, 3-2, and the series.

Puig appeared in the game as a pinch-runner in the ninth inning.

Andre Ethier started in center field and batted sixth in place of Puig, who had struck out seven straight times before a smashing a leadoff triple in the sixth inning on Monday in Game 3. The second-year star then fanned again in the eighth inning of the 3-1 loss and went just 3-for-12 with eight strikeouts in the series.

Ethier went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks in the game.
