Pretrial hearing set for Minnesota Vikings lineman Tom Johnson after restaurant arrest

A pretrial hearing is set for Dec. 9 for Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Tom Johnson after his arrest on misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct charges at a Minneapolis restaurant.

WCCO-TV (http://cbsloc.al/1wRcAQI ) reports Johnson did not appear in court for his arraignment Friday, but was represented by his attorney.

According to the police report, Johnson was arrested early on Oct. 5 when he refused orders by security and police to leave Seven, a downtown steakhouse and sushi lounge.

Police say Johnson was repeatedly told to leave the building, and chemical spray was used to force him outside after he resisted. Once outside, according to the report, Johnson remained uncooperative and police used a stun gun on him.

Johnson's representatives have said the case should be dismissed. Johnson continues playing with Minnesota.
