Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Nashville Predators will have Matt Cullen available for their upcoming road trip after activating the veteran forward from injured reserve Tuesday.
Cullen has missed Nashville's first eight regular-season games due to an upper-body injury he sustained during a preseason matchup against Tampa Bay on Oct. 24.
The 37-year-old totaled 10 goals and 29 assists in 77 games last season, his 16th in the NHL.
Forward Rich Clune was placed on waivers to make room for Cullen on the active roster, though Predators general manager David Poile said following the move he hopes Clune will clear and be able to be assigned to Nashville's AHL affiliate in Milwaukee.
Clune played in 47 games for Nashville during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign and 58 last season, but had dressed for just one of the club's first eight contests.
The Predators start up a six-game trip with a swing through Western Canada that begins Wednesday in Edmonton.
