On Friday afternoon, New York Knicks President Phil Jackson made himself available to the media and spoke about his goals for the upcoming season, the revamped roster, and even Derrick Rose's lawsuit regarding allegations he was involved in the rape of "Jane Doe".

Jackson told reporters Rose isn't losing any sleep over the upcoming trial:

"Derrick has expressed that he's not concerned with it ... I mean, he's quite aware of it. It's not keeping him up at night. So we're going with that, OK?

"We want to put this to rest. There doesn't need to be a lot of talk about this. Concerns about how our team is going to fit together are some of the biggest priorities for us.

"I think we're just going to let the process work itself out. We're not concerned with it. We understand this is a serious subject we're talking about. But this has to be done outside of our control. It's something we can't control."

Per ESPN's Ian Begley, Jackson declined to answer a question addressed to both him and general manager Steve Mills regarding the Knicks' dilligence in vetting Rose's legal issues before completing the trade for him this summer.
