Peyton Manning takes the field -- for Broncos warm-ups

Peyton Manning took in team warm-ups as an onlooker on Sunday.

It might not be much longer until he joins them in full. The future Hall of Famer is already practicing in a limited basis and could be ready to return in the upcoming weeks.

Manning is slowly inching his way back to the Broncos. He stayed away for Osweiler's first few starts, but took a more involved role in past weeks.

That role expanded a little on Sunday. Manning wore an earpiece to hear playcalls and get his mind ready for an inevitable return.
