Pepperdine holds off TCU to stay alive

Fort Worth, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Caruso went 2-for-4 with two RBI to help Pepperdine stave off elimination in its Super Regional against TCU with a 3-2 win on Sunday.

Aaron Brown earned the win after pitching seven scoreless innings and Eric Karch picked up the save.

Jerrick Suiter and Keaton Jones each had a pair of hits for the Horned Frogs, with Suiter adding an RBI.

Caruso broke the scoreless tie with an RBI single in the fifth, then added an RBI double following a sacrifice fly from Manny Jefferson to make it 3-0 through seven innings.

A pair of errors enabled TCU to get on the board in the eighth and Suiter then singled to cut the deficit to one.

Karch pitched a perfect ninth inning to set up a do-or-die Game 3 on Monday.
