People familiar with discussions tell AP: Pegulas have tentative approval to buy Buffalo Bills

Published February 05, 2015

Associated Press

Two people familiar with discussions have told The Associated Press that Terry and Kim Pegula's bid to buy the Buffalo Bills has been tentatively approved by members of late owner Ralph Wilson's estate.

The next step in the sale process is for the estate to get initial approval from the NFL. That could come by the end of the week and as early as later in the day.

The two people spoke on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the sale process is private.

The development comes a day after the Buffalo Sabres owners were among at least three prospective ownership groups to submit binding bids to purchase the team.
