Penguins' Malkin set to return Friday against Sabres

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Pittsburgh Penguins All-Star center Evgeni Malkin will play his first game in more than two weeks on Friday against Buffalo, coach Dan Bylsma said.

Malkin, 24, has been sidelined since January 18 because of a sinus infection, missing the Penguins' last five games.

Fellow All-Star center Sidney Crosby remained out of action as he recovers from a concussion suffered on January 5.

"He is going out of town for a few days to visit his parents," Bylsma told reporters Thursday in Pittsburgh. "He continues his functional rehab and light exercises."

A third Penguins center, rookie Mark Letestu, will undergo surgery on his left knee and will miss four to six weeks, Bylsma said.
