Patriots RB Dion Lewis shares message with fans following injury

The New England Patriots suffered a big blow this week with breakout running back Dion Lewis suffering a torn ACL, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season.

Lewis was in the midst of a great season and emerged as one of the best scat backs in the entire league. The ACL injury is obviously crushing for both Lewis and the team, but he's seemingly kept his spirits up following the unfortunate situation.

Lewis took to Twitter on Monday to thank those who have supported him and promises to be back once again.

The injury will keep him out until at least training camp, but Lewis should be healthy in time for the start of the regular season -- depending on how quickly his knee heals up.
