Paraguayan golfer Zanotti hit by ball and taken to hospital; play at KLM Open suspended

Paraguayan golfer Fabrizio Zanotti has been hit by a ball and taken to a hospital, causing the KLM Open to be suspended.

Zanotti was playing the 16th hole, his seventh of the opening round at the Kennemer club, when he was hit. His condition was not immediately known.

Zanotti had one bogey and a birdie to put him at even par.

Gary Stal of France was leading at 4 under after 12 holes when play was halted.
