Published April 28, 2016

Associated Press

Jaromir Jagr and Jonathan Huberdeau scored in the first period, Al Montoya made 24 saves and the Florida Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 Sunday night to extend their franchise-record win streak to 12 games.

Florida hasn't lost since Dec. 12 while climbing to the top of the Atlantic Division with 56 points. The Panthers won this one despite putting just 14 shots on goal.

Mark Letestu scored for Edmonton and the Oilers lost their second straight. Cam Talbot made 12 saves.

Jagr scored on Florida's first shot 3:22 into the first, capitalizing after defenseman Darnell Nurse's turnover. The 44-year-old Jagr lost his handle on the puck while attempting a deke but it still managed to go through Talbot's legs for his 15th goal.
