Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - A second-half own goal from the Philadelphia Union handed FC Dallas a 2-1 win at Toyota Stadium on Friday, extending FCD's unbeaten run to four games.

Tesho Akindele put the home side in front after 26 minutes, but the Union equalized through Amobi Okugo a few minutes before the break.

However, a mistake in defense by the Union proved costly in the 50th minute when Fabinho attempted to clear the ball from inside his own penalty area, only for the ball to strike teammate Sheanon Williams and redirect past goalkeeper Zac MacMath.

Maurice Edu was sent off late in the match and the Union were unable to muster a second goal, handing the team its first loss in four matches.

Blas Perez set up the opener midway through the first half with a chipped ball into the box that allowed Akindele to fire a volley past MacMath.

Williams went close for the Union in the 38th when he flicked a shot just wide of the right post, but the visitors were soon level as Cristian Maidana rolled a pass though the face of goal to the back post for Okugo to apply the finishing touch.

Dallas went in front five minutes after the break as Fabinho's clearance ended up in the back of the Philadelphia net, while Edu's sliding challenge on Perez in the closing minutes saw the Union man receive a straight red card to cap a frustrating evening for Jim Curtain's side.
