Orioles come to terms with four, including Wieters

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Orioles have come to terms with four of their marquee players, thus avoiding arbitration hearings.

All-Star catcher Matt Wieters, first baseman Chris Davis and pitchers Chris Tillman and Brian Matusz each reached one-year agreements with the team on Friday.

Wieters played just 26 games last season before undergoing Tommy John surgery in June. The three-time All-Star is a career .257 hitter with 92 home runs over his six big-league seasons -- all with the Orioles.

Davis batted just.196 last season with 26 homers and 72 RBI before being suspended 25 games for amphetamine use. The 2013 AL home run and RBI champ will miss Opening Day due to the suspension.

Tillman went 13-6 with a 3.34 ERA in a career-high 34 starts last season, while Matusz had another solid year out of the bullpen, pitching to a 3.48 ERA in 63 appearances.
