Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Edmonton Oilers signed goaltender Ben Scrivens to a two-year contract extension on Monday.

Scrivens has gone 3-4-0 with a 2.15 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage for the Oilers, who acquired him on Jan. 15 from Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old set an NHL regular-season record for saves in a shutout shortly after the trade, stopping 59 shots as the Oilers blanked San Jose, 3-0, on Jan. 29.

The Kings had picked up Scrivens in an offseason trade with Toronto. He put up equally solid numbers in his brief stint in Los Angeles, posting a 1.97 GAA and a .931 save percentage in 19 games.

For his career, Scrivens has compiled a 21-23-6 record with a 2.49 GAA and a .921 save percentage in 58 games.
