Fargo, ND (SportsNetwork.com) - North Dakota State's national championship football program has received welcomed news with wide receiver Zach Vraa's plan to return for the 2015 season.

Vraa is expected to gain a sixth season through an NCAA medical hardship. He suffered three broken collarbones early in his career and played in just one game as a redshirt freshman in 2011.

He has caught a pass in 41 of his 43 career games and ranks fourth all-time at NDSU with 155 receptions and third with 2,447 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns. He was a first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in 2013 and his 1,191 receiving yards and 15 touchdown receptions established single-season school records.

North Dakota State won a fourth straight FCS national championship on Saturday. He missed two playoff games and part of another one with a hamstring injury before he returned for the final against Illinois State.
