New Mexico State tops Oklahoma Panhandle St. 78-46

Bandja Sy scored 12 points to lead New Mexico State past Oklahoma Panhandle State 78-46 on Thursday night.
Renaldo Dixon added 10 for the Aggies (4-7). Tyrone Watson, Christian Kabongo and Gordo Castillo each scored nine.
Marcale Marshall led Oklahoma Panhandle State (2-9) with 12 points.
New Mexico State led 38-20 at the half after outscoring the Division II school 25-4 in the last 8:42 of the first half, including a 17-0 spurt.
That run answered a 9-0 surge that had put Oklahoma Panhandle State up 14-13 with 9:15 left in the first half.
New Mexico State shot 43.1 percent, while Panhandle State was 24.6 percent on 16-of-65 shooting.
New Mexico State scored 21 points off 22 turnovers and outscored Panhandle State 32-12 in the paint.
