"The Greatest" is the most succinct and definitive description of a truly transcendent athlete, one few in any sport could lay claim to without debate.

In every senses of the word, Muhammad Ali was The Greatest - the best heavyweight fighter of all-time and a game-changer for the sport of boxing.

Controversial, bombastic, cocky, political, outrageous, bold, and above all else supremely talented, Ali was like no other fighter that came before him or after.

Today, the NASCAR community joins with the rest of the world in celebrating the life of The Greatest, who died Friday night at the age of 74. RIP, champ.
