Naismith hit with two-match ban

Rangers forward Steven Naismith will match suspension after an incident involving Dunfermline's Austin McCann.

The Scottish Football Association handed down the ban after television footage appeared to show Naismith catching McCann in the face with an elbow during the Glasgow side's 4-0 win on Saturday.

Naismith scored two goals in the match and leads the club with eight goals in eight league games. However, he will miss Tuesday's match with Kilmarnock as well as the weekend contest against Hibernian.
