Nadal, Murray and Isner move on in Miami

Second-seeded Rafael Nadal, former champion Andy Murray and American John Isner were among Friday's second-round winners at the Sony Ericsson Open, an ATP Masters event.

Nadal cruised past Santiago Giraldo of Colombia 6-2, 6-0 in 69 minutes.

The Spaniard was last year's Miami runner-up to the top seed here, two-time titlist Novak Djokovic.

Nadal and Roger Federer are the all-time leaders with 19 Masters titles apiece.

The fourth-seeded Murray, who enjoyed an opening-round bye before improving to 15-3 this season, mauled Colombian Alejandro Falla 6-2, 6-3 in an uneventful 76-minute affair at Crandon Park.

Murray was an opening-match loser two weeks ago at Indian Wells. He avoided a repeat of last year when he dropped his opening matches at both Indian Wells and Miami.

The three-time Grand Slam runner-up Murray, who was the 2009 Miami champ, will meet 26th-seeded rising Canadian Milos Raonic on Sunday. The massive- serving Raonic launched 17 aces in getting past veteran Frenchman Arnaud Clement, 7-6 (9-7), 6-2.

Isner, last week's surprise runner-up at Indian Wells, beat Russian Nikolay Davydenko 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Sixth-seeded French star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga advanced with a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Belgian Xavier Malisse, seventh-seeded Czech Tomas Berdych handled Frenchman Nicolas Mahut 7-5, 6-1, ninth-seeded Serb Janko Tipsarevic dismissed former top-five star David Nalbandian of Argentina 7-5, 6-3, and 13th-seeded Frenchman Gilles Simon handled Spanish qualifier Roberto Bautista-Agut 6-4, 6-2 on Day 3.

In other action involving seeds, No. 16 Kei Nishikori of Japan beat Lukas Lacko of Slovakia 6-3, 6-3; No. 18 Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov topped Croatian qualifier Antonio Veic 6-4, 7-5; No. 19 German Florian Mayer straight-setted Croat Ivan Dodig 6-4, 7-5; No. 22 Austrian Jurgen Melzer beat Dutchman Robin Haase 7-6 (7-2), 3-6, 6-4; Czech Lukas Rosol defeated 24th- seeded Spaniard Marcel Granollers 2-6, 6-3, 6-1; No. 25 Czech Radek Stepanek downed fading German Tommy Haas 7-6 (7-4), 6-1; Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria outlasted 29th-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina 6-2, 4-6, 6-4; and No. 32 German Philipp Kohlschreiber erased Portuguese Frederico Gil 6-2, 7-5.

The winner of this lucrative $3.973 million tournament will claim $659,775.
