Rotterdam, The Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - Top-seeded former champion Andy Murray, third-seeded reigning titlist Tomas Berdych and No. 4 seed Stan Wawrinka secured spots in the quarterfinals at the $1.825 million ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament.

The 2009 Rotterdam winner Murray handled Canadian Vasek Pospisil 6-3, 7-5, while Berdych held off last week's Zagreb runner-up Andreas Seppi 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 and the 2014 Australian Open champ Wawrinka overcame Spaniard and last week's Zagreb titlist Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 6-2 at Ahoy Rotterdam.

Murray won the final four games of the match to hold off the 24-year-old Pospisil.

"My level was good. I moved well and I felt like when I really needed to, I was able to improve my level and step my game up a bit," said Murray. "I found a little bit of extra intensity in the important moments and that was key."

Last month's Aussie Open runner-up Murray's quarterfinal opponent on Friday will be eighth-seeded Frenchman Gilles Simon, who took care of fellow countryman Jeremy Chardy 6-4, 6-3.

Berdych beat reigning U.S. Open champ Marin Cilic in last year's Rotterdam finale.

The 2015 Rotterdam champ will earn $405,000.
