The son of late NBA legend Moses Malone told police he was beaten and robbed for making critical comments about Houston Rockets star James Harden on Facebook.

Moses Malone Jr. said the incident occured outside Houston's V Live Vintage Steakhouse in the early morning hours of June 25. He told police he left the place and was followed outside by a group of men who confronted him over his Facebook post about Harden.

"The post basically referenced the fact that James Harden was charging $250 for a basketball camp" for kids, Malone's lawyer, George Farah, told ABC-13 News.

Malone previously received "some texts from close friends of Mr. Harden stating, 'Why did you do that?'" Farah added. He didn't say how the men all knew each other, however, it has been reported that both Malone and Harden frequent the club.

Several of the men beat Malone and robbed him at gunpoint of his car keys, jewelry and cash, he told police. Arrest warrants were issued for four men: Deavion Lewis, Oscar Wattell, Kavon Boutte and Darian Blount, a bouncer at V Live, according to the police report. However, a lawyer for V Live denied any of the men work there.

Harden has not been accused of having anything to do with the incident or charged with a crime.
