Mexico's Marijosse Navarro, Philippines' Princess Mary Superal reach US Girls' Junior final

Mexico's Marijosse Navarro beat Australia's Shelly Shin in 21 holes Friday in the U.S. Girls' Junior to advance to the final against Princess Mary Superal of the Philippines.

The 17-year-old Navarro beat Andrea Lee of Hermosa Beach, California, 1 up in the morning quarterfinals on Forest Highlands' Meadow Course. A three-time Women's Mexican Amateur champion, Navarro was sixth this year for Texas A&M in the NCAA tournament.

The 17-year-old Superal beat Bethany Wu of Diamond Bar, California, in 19 holes in the quarterfinals, and topped Cindy Ha of Demarest, New Jersey, 2 up in the semifinals.
