Mets activate Young

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Mets activated outfielder Eric Young Jr. from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Andrew Brown to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Young had been sidelined since May 25 with a strained right hamstring. He was batting .220 with one homer, seven RBI and 17 stolen bases in 42 games prior to his injury.

Brown hit .182 with two home runs and seven RBI in 19 games.
