McIlroy remains atop world rankings

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - With only a handful of players competing in the 40th Ryder Cup last week, Rory McIlroy remained the No. 1 player in the world yet again.

Already having a season to remember headlined by two major championships, McIlroy helped lead the European team to it's third consecutive Ryder Cup victory on Sunday.

The rest of the top 10 players in the world stayed the same as well, with Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Jim Furyk, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar and Rickie Fowler coming in at Nos. 2 through 10.

Phil Mickelson, Martin Kaymer, Jordan Spieth and Billy Horschel all stayed put from No. 11. The only change to the top 20 was Zach Johnson and Tiger Woods swapping spots, with Johnson moving up one to No. 15. Woods fell to No. 16.

Dustin Johnson, Graeme McDowell, Jimmy Walker and Hideki Matsuyama rounded out the top 20 from No. 17.

Kiroyuki Fujita made the biggest jump within the top 200 after taking home the Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup in Japan. Fujita vaulted from No. 182 to No. 127.
