McIlroy back to No. 1 in world rankings

Rory McIlroy's historic 8-shot victory Sunday at the PGA Championship moved him back to No. 1 in this week's world rankings.

McIlroy first became No. 1 after his win at The Honda Classic, but lost it to Luke Donald shortly after. Donald had been No. 1 for 10 weeks, but fell to No. 2.

Tiger Woods dipped one to third, followed by Lee Westwood and U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson.

Adam Scott inched up to sixth while Justin Rose, who shared third at Kiawah Island, climbed three to seventh. Masters champion Bubba Watson dropped two to eighth, Jason Dufner slipped one to ninth and Steve Stricker moved up one to No. 10.

Matt Kuchar missed the cut at the PGA and fell two to 11th this week. Keegan Bradley tied for third in his title defense this week and jumped up three to 12th. Graeme McDowell, Zach Johnson and Hunter Mahan each fell a spot to complete the top 15.

Louis Oosthuizen, Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler all held their spots from last week.
