Mavericks re-sign Delonte West

The Dallas Mavericks have re-signed guard Delonte West. Terms of the contract weren't released.

West, who turned 29 Thursday, averaged 9.6 points, 3.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds over 44 games last season, his first with the Mavericks. He sat out more than a month due to a fracture and dislocated ring finger on his non- shooting hand.

A first-round pick of the Celtics in 2004, West has averaged 9.7 points over 432 career games with Boston, Seattle, Cleveland and the Mavs.
