Carl Mason posted a two-under 69 Sunday to come from behind and win his 25th European Senior Tour title at the Benahavis Senior Masters.

Mason finished at nine-under 204 and won by three shots at La Quinta Golf & Country Club.

Mason padded his tour record for victories and collected his second title of 2011. He captured the Open de Espana Senior in May.

He tallied three birdies on the front nine Sunday and that gave him a comfortable advantage over the field. Mason mixed a birdie and two bogeys over the back nine, but it was enough to hoist the trophy.

Second-round leader Gary Wolstenholme fell off the pace with a double-bogey at the par-three eighth. He carded a two-over 73 and shared second place with Mark James, who shot an even-par 71 on Sunday. The pair finished at six-under 207.

Ross Drummond managed a three-under 68 and took fourth at minus-five.

Bob Cameron and Costantino Rocca both shot rounds of even-par 71 on Sunday and tied for fifth place with Mark Mouland, who had a two-under 69 in the final round. The trio came in at four-under 209.

Order of Merit leader Peter Fowler shot a one-under 70 and tied for 11th at minus-one.
