Marshall leads 5 in double figures as Liberty snaps 7-game skid with 79-59 win over Campbell

Davon Marshall scored 15 points in leading a balanced attack as Liberty snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 79-59 win over Campbell on Saturday.

Liberty (10-19, 4-10 Big South Conference) took control midway through the first half on a Tomasz Gielo jumper that made it 10-8 and never trailed again.

Antwan Burrus contributed 14 points, John-Caleb Sanders 13, Andrew Smith 12 and Gielo 11 for the Flames, who shot 48 percent to sweep the season series and hand Campbell (12-17, 6-8) its fourth straight loss.

The Fighting Camels closed to within eight points on a 3-pointer by Leek Leek midway through the second half that made it 50-42 but would trail by double figures the rest of the game.

Reco McCarter led Campbell with 14 points and eight rebounds, Luke Moyer had 12 points and Leek finished with 10.
