Arbitrators ruled Wednesday in favor of Emilio Bonifacio against the Miami Marlins.
Bonifacio will make $2.2 million next season instead of the $1.95 million salary targeted by the team, according to MLB.com.
The center fielder batted .296 last season, his third with the Marlins, and had a 26-game hitting streak. He played all over the field on defense, but is listed as the top center fielder on Miami's depth chart.
