Marcus Marshall scored nine of his game-high 20 points in the final four minutes Friday night to lead Missouri State over Oral Roberts 70-67.
Marshall was playing in his first game since a knee injury on Nov. 24 against Hampton.
The score was tied 52-52 with 3:43 to go when Marshall made 1 of 2 from the line. His free throw started a 10-4 run and gave the Bears (8-1) the lead for good.
Jabbar Singleton's basket with 1:57 left brought Oral Roberts to within 57-56, but Marshall answered with a jumper and Jarmar Gulley converted a three-point play to put MSU ahead 62-56 with 45 seconds left. The Golden Eagles (5-5) turned the ball over and were forced to foul from there.
Marshall made all six of his free attempts in the final 32 seconds and Dorrian Williams added two more.
Shawn Glover led ORU with 19 points.
