ST. LOUIS (AP) A 32-year-old St. Louis man has pleaded guilty to charges in the shooting of a St. Louis Cardinals fan after a game last year.

Kilwa Jones pleaded guilty Tuesday in a plea deal that includes a penalty of up to 35 years in prison and/or fines of up to $250,000 on each count. He will be sentenced Oct. 6.

Authorities say Jones shot Christopher Sanna as he and his girlfriend were walking to their car in September near the Gateway Arch. They say Jones confronted the couple with a pistol and the couple tried to ignore him. As they walked away, Jones shot Sanna in the back, grabbed his girlfriend's purse and went through Sanna's pants pockets as he lay on the ground. The shooting left Sanna paralyzed.
