Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Lohse fired a shutout to help guide the Milwaukee Brewers to a 9-0 win over the Chicago Cubs in the rubber match of a three-game series at Miller Park.

Lohse (7-1) allowed just three hits while striking out six to help him win his seventh straight decision. It took him just 93 pitches to capture his 11th career complete game.

Lohse finished 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI, while Ryan Braun blasted a two-run homer and Lyle Overbay drove in three runs for the Brewers, who have won four of their last five contests.

After coming off his first win of the season, Jeff Samardzija (1-5), who brought a league leading 1.68 ERA into the game, was tagged for eight runs on eight hits and two walks in just three innings of work.

The Cubs had just three hits as a team and lost for the fourth time in five games.

Braun smashed a first-pitch fastball over the left-field fence in the first to give the Brewers an early 2-0 lead. Jean Segura singled to lead off the frame.

Lohse helped his own cause with a two-out RBI single up the middle to plate Scooter Gennett in the second. Gennett doubled to start the inning.

Braun singled, Jonathan Lucroy walked and Carlos Gomez was hit by a pitch to start the third. Khris Davis grounded into a double-play, but Braun crossed home to make it 4-0.

Gennett then doubled and Mark Reynolds drew a walk to load the bases. Overbay doubled to clear the bases and Lohse knocked in his second run of the game with a single to right to increase the lead to 8-0.

Gennett made it 9-0 with a solo home run to right in the fifth.

The Cubs only chance with a runner in scoring position came in the seventh, but John Baker struck out and Mike Olt popped out to keep them scoreless.
