Eastern Illinois wide receiver Erik Lora set the FCS single-season receptions record Saturday night with his final catch - the 124th this season - in the Panthers' 48-30 loss at Central Arkansas.

Lora surpassed the 123 receptions caught by Elon's Terrell Hudgins in 2009. Lora caught nine passes for 52 yards and a touchdown.

In 11 games this season, the Walter Payton Award candidate has hauled in 124 receptions for 1,531 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has caught a touchdown pass in all but three of Eastern Illinois' games this year and finished the regular season averaging nearly 11.4 receptions per contest.

The Ohio Valley Conference champion Panthers will find out their playoff pairing on Sunday.
