Long ejected for throwing a punch

Rams defensive end Chris Long was ejected from Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers for throwing punches. He probably deserved that consequence.

What happened next was absolutely uncalled for. While Long was walking into the locker room at Bank of America Stadium, a fan threw a bottle at him. The sixth-year defender subsequently gave the fan base the bird, which triggered more boos.

Long wasn't much of a factor in the action, totaling two tackles, including one for a loss.
