Lions safety Quin leaves vs. Saints with concussion

Published December 21, 2015

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Detroit safety Glover Quin has left the Lions' game against the Saints with concussion symptoms.

Quin took a knee to the helmet when he crouched to tackle New Orleans running back Tim Hightower, who had broken into the open field and was picking up speed when he collided with the Lions defensive back head-on late in the second quarter on Monday night.

Quin stumbled, nearly losing his balance after rising to his feet on his own, and trainers were quickly called out to assist him off of the field. Early in the second half, the Lions announced that Quin would not return to the game.
