Published February 05, 2015

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Lightning announced on Thursday that goaltender Ben Bishop will undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist.

Though no definite time was established, the team expects the procedure to take place next week.

Bishop missed the last three games of the regular season and all of the Lightning's four-game, opening-round loss to the Montreal Canadiens after suffering a wrist injury on April 8 against Toronto.

Anders Lindback earned the start in all four games against Montreal, with Kristers Gudlevskis making one relief appearance.

Bishop, 27, posted a 37-14-7 record in 63 games this season with a 2.23 goals- against average and a .924 save percentage.
