Lightning D Hedman to have surgery

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman is expected to miss the next 4-to-6 weeks after suffering a broken finger.

The Tampa Bay Times reported Monday that Hedman will undergo surgery to repair the damaged right digit on Tuesday.

It's an unfortunate break for the 23-year-old, who leads all defensemen on the club in goals (3) and points (7) after only five games while tying for the team scoring lead with Steven Stamkos.
